Wood fest 2011 is the largest event of its kind in the UK and usually attracts over 25000 visitors. World class riders from the UK, France, Holland and Norway provided entertainment on a custom built course. Tailored to the Wooodfest theme, it consisted of 15 feet high platforms of logs, tree trunk jumbles, and a popular leap over a water filled tank. 200 riders from all over the UK camped and enjoyed the obstacles courtesy of Matt Barlow, the main organiser, Tarty Bikes, the main sponsor and the Woodfest organisers.For more photos see http://tartydays.co.uk/2011-photos/ |

One of the classic North Wales ice climbs, the Devil's Appendix only forms very rarely. With the big chill it is just about in condition and gives three pitches of steep ice climbing.
